i think i am a nomad at heart. i was thinking about how i like big get togethers more than small ones because i enjoy roaming. i suppose that most of the time big get togethers turn into smaller ones because people group off, but i like the fact that i can venture from group to group and join the conversation as i feel. i also have this great fantasy of never really settling down and just going, place to place, all the time. we'll see how long that lasts. i also can't ever really choose what groups i want to be in (at school) because i want to be in all of them, but sometimes i don't want to be in any of them. but mostly i want to be in all of them. sometimes i wish i could do everything, but that is impossible, and for a good reason.
lately i have also been thinking about christmas. these thoughts have mostly been negative because i am tired of christmas being about buying each other a bunch of crap. but then i also realized something very beautiful the other day, that being that there is an entire period of time every single year where (most) people don't have to work and kids don't have to school and families and friends gather together to celebrate an event which was initially started by the birth of Jesus, which is awesome. so even if people are buying each other a bunch of crap, a lot of the time it is crap that the other person would want, and sometimes it's not even crap. and even if christmas isn't really even about giving other people stuff they saw on tv, it is no doubt a time to hang out with our families and show them that we love them, because it all started with a family, right? and let's face it, no family is perfect. a lot of the time i think other people have perfect families, but then i remember that they don't.
anyways...that is all.
