His sufficient grace

grace to give us joy in sorrow
his sufficient grace
grace to bear us through the morrow,
his sufficient grace
when we need a free salvation,
in our days of sore temptation,
and our nights of deep frustration,
his sufficient grace.

'tis the secret of forgiveness,
his sufficient grace
'tis the strength that meets our weakness,
his sufficient grace
if the enemy assail us,
if no earthly friends avail us,
one thing then will never fail us,
his sufficient grace.

every day a-fresh will teach us
his sufficient grace
in the darkest hour 'twill reach us
his sufficient grace
to His strength in weakness turning,
something of His love discerning,
day by day we shall be learning,
his sufficient grace.

grace is boundless as the Giver,
his sufficient grace.
and it floweth as a river,
his sufficient grace
though we learn through His good pleasure
something of this priceless treasure,
we can never, never measure
his sufficient grace.
