words on a page

oooh, i am excited to read some books. dmill got me in the mood, so it's a good thing i have six weeks to knock a few out. this will help me arrange my thoughts:

1. the unsettling of america - wendell berry
my service living leader Dan told me i had to read this book and he is a pretty knowledgeable dude. plus, i enjoy food, especially when i know where it comes from. especially when i help grow it, although that has been relatively seldom.

2. gandhi an autobiography: the story of my experiments with truth
it is gandhi. enough said.

3. animal, vegetable, miracle - barbara kingsolver
maybe i enjoy food or something.

4. the screwtape letters - c.s. lewis
because becca told me, and i've heard a few good things about mr. lewis.

5. letter from birmingham jail/i have a dream speech - mlk
again, becca is rad and reads cool stuff, so i will copy her. plus he might have been revolutionary, and i gotta know more, mmhm.

6. eating animals - jonathan safran foer

...a never-ending list

  1. So much to read so little time. Kinda wish you would somehow absorb the book's content without spending all the time reading it. But that takes away some of the plessure of reading.
